Valley Baptist Church
Our History
The Valley Baptist Church has been located in the Auburn Valley of Western Washington since 1970. We officially organized as a church in May of 1972. The current property was purchased in 1974. We are thankful God led us to purchase our property, even though there was nothing on the corner but farmland. Some said this was a foolish place to build a church, but God saw the future and we are blessed with a prominent location.
The original building in 1974 was built in several weeks. This building served as the church auditorium and Sunday School classrooms for over 10 years. God was faithful and many souls came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.
In 1984 the church took on a new building project to make room for Sunday School classrooms and have a larger auditorium in which to have worship services. The building was built debt free over the course of 6 years.
In November of 2006 a fire destroyed the first building which we were using as Sunday School space. Due to the fire, God led us, once again, to step out in faith, beginning another building program. Much needed Sunday School space and expanded auditorium are enabling us to grow. We look forward to God's continued provision and direction as we work together to win souls and meet the spiritual needs of those in our area.
